Worship + 2
By webmaster @ 9:38 AM :: 231 Views :: 1 Comments :: Rev. David Lewicki

Marble awakens from it's summer slumber this week. I hope you all have this Sunday marked in red on your calendars. One suggestion I'm making this year is that everyone take on the "Worship + 2" model.

Worship + 2 is a concept designed to help you figure out how to get involved in the congregation's life. It means that every person in the congregation participates in “worship plus two” other things—one for personal spiritual growth, the other in service to others.

Think of Worship + 2 like an a la carte menu:

Main Course: Worship (Choose 1)

Sundays at 11:15am

Wednesdays at 6:15pm

Side Dishes: ( 1 from each Category)
Spiritual Growth

Bible Study w/ Sister Carol Perry

The Ten O'Clock Hour

Program Ministries
Choirs, Entrepreneurs, GIFTS, Men, 60+ Fellowship, Women,
Young Adults

Small Groups

Design something of your own

Service and Giving

ACTION Volunteer Opportunities

Be an usher or greeter

Something in your community

One question that came to my mind as I was exploring this a la carte metaphor is... What about dessert? Dessert is the best part of Worship + 2. Dessert is the close friendships that come from regular involvement in your church community, drizzled over a closer walk with the source of life—God.

Sound good?  De-licious.
